Clare Connolly
BA(HONS) Ballet Education, RAD RTS, ISTD DDE, NCEF, LRAD3
Clare trained at The Royal Academy of Dance headquarters in London where she completed a BA(Hons) Ballet Education. She also completed the Licentiate programme specialising in The Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet syllabus. Clare also holds the full teaching qualifications with The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD); the Diploma in Dance Education (DDE), in both Classical Ballet and Modern Theatre Jazz. Since training, Clare has been teaching for The Royal Academy of Dance and Tutoring and Supervising their Certificate in Ballet Education Trainee teachers. She has also taught on the Royal Academy of Dances Step into Dance programme in conjunction with the Jack Petchey Foundation and has co-ordinated Step Live! at Sadlers Wells theatre London.
Clare completed a Diploma in Professional Dance at the College of Dance of Ireland, and went on to Inchicore College, Dublin, to complete Dance Performance and Production with Distinction. During this time Clare taught a range of Dance Genre and fitness at various locations around greater Dublin. These included private dance schools as well as creating and leading a dance and fitness program in conjunction with Foróige Ireland, to assist young adults with developing their talents, skills and character.
During her years in London, Clare has worked with Bigfoot Theatre Arts; Arts Award Trinity London, Absolute Inspirations, Arts Educational and several Ballet schools and Performing Arts schools all over greater London, teaching and choreographing. Within the school system Clare has facilitated a range of dance and drama themes which include workshops on examination plays and Curriculum enrichment as well as Friendship, bullying, health and body awareness and drug awareness.
When teaching, safety is paramount and Clare has up to date First Aid training and takes continuous child protection policy courses. She has current Criminal record checks from the UK and Ireland.
Clare is delighted to be back in Ireland full time. She looks forward to meeting you all and hopes you will come along to try out some moves!
